Donald
R. (Dan) McLeod, B.Sc., J.D:
Donald McLeod holds a Bachelor of Science Degree as well
as the Degree of Juris Doctoris (Latin for Doctor of
Law). He has practiced law since 1980, is a certified Family
Law Mediator, and has conducted hundreds of cases in the Provincial
Court, Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal for British
Columbia.
After
practicing in the Interior of British Columbia until 1984,
he moved home to Victoria where he has practiced ever since.
For many years he has been active in the community, serving
as an Executive Member of the Alma Mater Society of the University
of Victoria, the Secretary of the South Cariboo Bar Association,
a Board Member and the President of Intrepid Theatre Society
Company (Victoria's largest non-profit professional theatre
company), and has been a member of the Executive of a political
party riding association for over 10 years. He has been a
volunteer for non-profit groups for many years, conducting
regular legal clinics for the disadvantaged for various non-profit
community organizations including Silver Threads, where he
conducts free legal clinics for seniors. He is a regular presenter
at various public legal education courses. His hobbies include
diving, genealogical research and international travel.
Betty
Andersen, M.A:
Betty Andersen holds the Degrees of Bachelor of Science and
Master of Arts (Counselling Psychology). She has more than
20 years experience working with adults in order to enhance
their lives. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British
Columbia and a Chartered Psychologist (Alberta). Apart from
her private practice as a Clinical Counsellor, she provides
counselling services to many of the clients of Donald R. McLeod
